Volunteer Commitments = minimum of 2 per player or $100 charge to your method of payment.
If you sign up to be a part of a Team’s Staff or as assistant Coach, you will not need to fulfill the commitment for the player on that team.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com
As a community football league, our entire program is run by volunteers. In order for an organization of this size to run smoothly, we require the help of the entire membership. Each player/family is required to help.
As of the 2019 season, Stony Plain Football Association is no longer collecting cheques and will require a credit card number or cash to cover fees / deposits - this is referred to as your Method of Payment.
Families must sign up for a minimum of two volunteer commitments per Player (number of commitments may vary based on team size). Failure to do so authorizes Stony Plain Football to automatically charge the method of payment you provide at time of registration, when the season is over.
All Volunteer slots will be done by online sign up on our webpage.
Did you know it takes 20 volunteers just to run one Home Game? This is everyone from Coaches, Team Staff, Stick Crew, Time Keeper, Concession and even setting up fields to taking them down.
~Many Hands, Makes Light Work~
If you can not work your commitment that you signed up for, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to reschedule or find a replacement for your shift and notify the Volunteer Coordinator. If you fail to show up for your commitment, your Method of Payment will be charged the full $100.
-It is recommended that Parents of Bantams/Peewees wait to sign up for Home Games before any other opportunities. As every home game does require certain volunteers just to be able to run the game. These will not be announced till the end of July. These may or may not include play off games! That may be a "extra need" the teams will have to fill, if they are home team in the playoffs. We will leave opportunities open at the end of the season, just in case the team is larger then expected, to help get your commitment done.
-Atoms and Novice Flag, it is recommended to commit to club level events. These will be an assortment of opportunities throughout the season that helps run our Association. They can be (but not limited too) - Helping with the Parade, Awards, Silent Auction, cleaning of shacks, cleaning of equipment, helping with Welcome Back Pool Party etc.
