ELIGIBILITY

U9 FLAG (formerly Novice) - Born in 2016, 2017 and 2018

U11 6/Side Tackle (formerly Atom) - Born 2014, 2015 and 2016

U13 9/Side Tackle (formerly PeeWee) - Born 2012 and 2013

U16 Tackle (formerly Bantam) - Born in 2009, 2010 and 2011- must not be in Grade 10 in the fall)

Players must reside in the Town of Stony Plain or in Parkland County. If there is no football association in the area you reside, you can register with the Stony Plain Football Association. If it is your first time playing, then you can register with any club.

REGISTRATION FEES

U11 $450 $150 on registration date and

$150 payments on May 10, 2024 and May 24, 2024

U13 $470 $150 on registration date and

$160 payments on May 10, 2024 and May 24, 2024

U16 $490 $150 on registration date and

$170 payments on May 10, 2024 and May 24, 2024

All deposits and registrations fees MUST be received by the Stony Plain Bombers club prior to your player receiving equipment.

Registration includes the following:

Practice location
Player insurance through Football Alberta
League Fees to CDMFA
Equipment (excluding cleats & girdle)

Registration opens: April 21, 2024.

Recruit A Friend!

If you are an existing Bombers family and you refer a new family that registers this year, you can earn $25 in fundraising credits.

When the new player registers they can indicate who referred them in the registration forms

PRACTICE DAYS, TIME & LOCATION:

Practices occur at the Stony Plain Bombers outdoor field. Please see below for details regarding location and how to access the field.

U9 (formerly Novice Flag) - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

U11 (formerly Atom) - Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

U13 (formerly Pee-Wee) - Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

U16 (formerly Bantam) - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

LOCATION AND PARKING

The Stony Plain Bombers field is located at 5300-52 Street, Stony Plain, Alberta (Google Maps Coordinates 53.522905,-114.015434). There is no vehicle access to the field. Executive and Coaches have some access to park at the field to support moving of equipment, restocking supplies, maintenance of the shacks, and to support safety. If you have inquiries or worries around this access, please connect with the Director at Large with the Stony Plain Bombers or your Team Manager.

The field may be accessed:

by way of parking at the Glenn Hall Arena or on the road at 52^nd Street and 55^th Avenue (take the walking/biking trail passed the ball diamonds and outdoor pool, the field is located at the end of the ball diamonds; or,
By way of parking on road on 57th avenue passed 51^st

FUNDRAISING / BINGO COMMITMENTS:

U9 Flag (Novice)

1 Bingo shift for each registered athlete, no fundraising

Fall Tackle (U11 - U16)

2 Bingo shifts per registered athlete (Spruce Grove Bingo Hall)

$150 in fundraising credits per family

All mandatory bingos will be counted first. All subsequent bingos worked to a maximum of 3, will earn you $50.00 in fundraising credits.

If the Bingo commitment is not fulfilled and/or you do not attend or send a replacement for your agreed upon date and time, the fee in the amount of $200 will be added to your RAMP Account. Your account will be locked until the fee is paid. This is in lieu of taking a deposit.

Parents/Guardians can choose to payout their fundraising commitment.

Please note a fundraising credit is the ‘profit’ the club will receive, not the total dollar of sales.

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT:

Support with running sticks and running score clock during games. The volunteer coordinator and/or Team Manager will be in contact with parents/guardians to make arrangements.

A Team Manager, Trainer and Coaches will be needed to support each team. If you are interested in any of these supportive roles, please contact the Field Liasion at fieldliasion@stonyplainfootball.com.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Registration is paid in the form of credit card, E-Transfer, or cash. Registration occurs through the online registration found here Stony Plain Minor Football Association Online Registration. Split payments are only available by using credit card.

E-TRANSFER INFORMATION:

E-Transfer to spfa.bombers@gmail.com Please indicate the player’s name, league, and division in the comments section

REFUNDS:

Refunds can be issued up to and including August 23, 2024 and will be for the club fees only.
CDMFA and Football Alberta fees will not be refunded if a player has begun practice

EQUIPMENT:

Players will be provided with equipment through the club for the season
Players will need to provide their own footwear and girdle (can be purchased through the club)

REGISTRATION FORMS:

Waivers will be completed at the time of online registration

Medical form to be provided to the Team Trainer/Field Liasion at first practice. Players cannot begin practice until the medical forms are completed and returned to the club. The medical form is located here.
